Edit: Yup. Just played for…oh shit…3 hours? Its awesome.

WIP of the Week — ArcMagi (TeeGee)

ArcMagi

Beautiful. This game is beautiful. Having played the original MAGI, I loved the game as a whole. The mechanics, strategies, graphics — they all composed a great experience, and in turn, a great game.  Upon hearing of the development of a sequel, I was delighted. I saw wonderful screen shots on the GMB and in an online magazine (forget which one :S ) and they were nothing short of amazing. The art work in this game is fantastic, however I couldn’t imagine the detailed artwork jumping to life.

I lost track of the development until I recently was shown the ArcMagi progress video (below) The game looks great and the animations are shockingly beautiful. I can imagine TeeGee is only going to build on and improve the mechanics featured in the first game, and with amazing art work like this, ArcMagi is sure to be a stunning release.

There is no playable build currently; but I’m sure you’ll hear me babbling about it when there is! =]

Gravity Game — Title screen done

Alright, its getting down to the wire — got 20 levels done and were wrapping up the project.  As many of you know, the last 10% seems like 90% so, hope it doesn’t get dragged on too much longer. 😛

Here is a screen shot of the main screen so far. The name however is still a working title! I may release a build soon and ask for some naming advice [:

Gravity Game at a Glance

To expand on the screen shot a bit more, when you hover over a level number it previews the level and show high scores for various stats. (in the golden box)  Also, the colored pixels on the right and left are moving down the screen and fade out.

Were going to crank out some more levels — i don’t quite know about 42 — but we will see. Updates on Sandy will be posted soon as well!

Updates!

Sorry for the lack of updates lately — college apps have proved to be quite time consuming! I have, however, been putting is some time on the still untitled “Gravity Game” and it is in its final stages.  I was hoping to release a trailer soon, however the power supply on my nice computer died, so that will have to hold off for a bit.

I have also finished another level in Sandy Evolution, and will post a build soon and some screen shots.
Hopefully I find more time soon to get going on these projects and finish them up!
